4 Digital Imaging Importing Photos in Paint Shop Pro

4 Digital Imaging Importing Photos in Paint Shop Pro

Use Digital Camera Support to Import Photos]

Using Paint Shop Pro's Digital Camera Support you can download pictures from your camera and onto your computer in two simple steps. Step One

Before you begin, you'll need to make sure your camera is hooked up to your computer using a USB or Serial port. (If you have any questions on how this is done, consult your digital camera manual or the manufacturer.)

Next, to access your camera you'll need to choose File > Import > Digital Camera > Access.

Step Two

The Digital Camera Dialog box should be on your screen. Now, if you click on Save all to Disk, you would just need to select a name for your pictures, and you'd be done! Two simple steps.

But, since you're here, we'll tell you what all those other buttons are for.

Here you can see:

• Size of the image displayed in the preview window

• Number of exposures on camera

• Number of exposures that can fit on camera

Saving Images 4

On this portion of the dialog box, the options will be applied to all the exposures on your camera. You can:

• Delete All - deletes all the picture currently stored on your camera

• Save All to Disk - stores all the images on your computer (this is what we did in Step Two)

• Get Previews - allows you to view all the images on your camera before you open or save them (more on this below)

• Open All in PSP - opens all the images on your camera in Paint Shop Pro

Single Exposure Operations

On this portion of the dialog box, you have many of the same options as the Multiple Exposure Operations, only each image is handled individually.

Unlike the Multiple Exposure Operations, on this part of the dialog box you can:

• View exposure information, including the time and date the picture was taken

• Take a picture, while your camera is hooked up to the computer

• Get previews, and view them in the window on the right side of the dialog box, scroll through the previews by using the arrow buttons under the preview window
