Becoming A Master Photographer
Becoming A Master Photographer
Purpose:
To learn different photographic disciplines.
Method:
The class will be broken into a variety of “Master” groups. These groups will learn the in’s and out’s of the “photographic discipline” that they are assigned. They will become the masters of that discipline. From there you will then go on to teach others in the class all about your discipline and they will teach you about their discipline.
Matrix
Master teaching groups:
Portrait
Architecture
Fashion
Commercial/Product
Procedure:
Using the internet, do a search using your discipline as the key words. I.E. how to do “Portraits.”
Research how to take pictures in the discipline that you were assigned. By means of a power point presentation or posters, develop a lesson to teach yourself and others on how to take pictures properly in your discipline.
Show the class and myself:
exact set ups;
lighting techniques;
step by step information on how to take photographs like a pro;
three ways to market your work;
and a portfolio of 10 photographs.
Part of your lesson will be to create a ten (10) question exam that you will administer to your teaching group.
What you will show me and the rest of the class is: your presentation, the test, the images and the marked exams.
You will be marked:
1. By your master group on how much effort you put into the teaching lessons.
2. By your teaching group by how well you taught.
3. By me as to my overall impression of your groups’ project and exam.
